I believe we are all on a journey toward self-love, self-compassion, and mindful, purposeful living. My job as a therapist is an honor and a privilege. To be alongside another human being as they travel their own path of pain, trauma, and loss to self-redemption, love, efficacy, and purpose, is truly a gift I cherish and value.
In the therapeutic relationship, I provide a non-judgmental, collaborative, supportive, and safe healing environment. I help my clients find healthy perceptions of themselves and strengthen their relationships so they can know themselves as peaceful, complete, whole and safe.
My areas of clinical expertise are in Anxiety Disorders, Relationship Counseling, and a wide array of Women’s Concerns – including but not limited to: depression, weight and body issues, juggling roles, menopause, career challenges, life stage transitions, grieving losses, trauma recovery, difficult relationships, interrupting self-sabotage, dealing with anger and rage, and coping with family issues and challenges.
I know that no single approach is the right one for every individual, and so I have been trained in a range of modalities including cognitive behavioral therapies, mindfulness practice, person-centered, experiential and relational therapies, and strengths-based approaches. I am also Level 3 Gottman Method Couples Therapy trained.
I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, with an MA in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. I have a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Phoenix. I also have a graduate certificate in ACT for Trauma and Mindfulness and ACT for Depression and Anxiety Disorders. I am a member of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (AADA), American Association for Marriage & Family Therapy (AAMFT), California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), and Society for Humanistic Psychology.
